New version 1.4 should be out soon.  I hoped to have it out sooner, but the alpha-testers uncovered some significant bugs, so I'm working through those issues ATM.

How easy is it to create a sid/star for an airport not covered in one of the files within this program or is that not possible? Still looks like a fantastic program!!

It is not difficult, but time-consuming. Basic "RAW" files quickly compiling with SIDSTAR Converter but then you need to carefully check all the files - the correct runway's numbers, extra/missing the point, legs, etc.

Endure to deal with this before the 1.4 ...

No need to use AISmooth. The program will provide the separation for you.

ok so I did the converter and it converted all the files ok, I added the lines to the cfg file.

 

I start it up and I get

The error is indicating that it cannot read a file. Can you confirm that there are indeed files in the directories? And also are the SIDSTAR directories in the same folder as you have AIMonitor.exe and AIController.exe?

I start it up and I get

 

"xml node pair error" 

 

Enable verbose (verbose=1) and debug (debug=1) in the .ini file, save, then run again.  The xml error message will appear after a particular file, which should indicate that particular file is causing problems.  You can email me the file at my support address in the readme.  

 

Also double-check to see if you have any sub-folders in the SID/STAR folders.  On some user machines, this is erroneously read as a "file" (this bug should be fixed for 1.4).

so i reckon i've got it working.  How can I tell if the ai aircraft  are following the sids/stars.

 

I loaded up in toronto and have Canada selected in the sids and stars

 

the ai monitor looks like this though with nothing in pattern

You mentioned in your PM's that you were using Ultimate Traffic 2 aircraft. I think this has to be enabled in the AIController.ini file for it to function properly, although I'm not quite sure. Can you check the .ini file for 'UT2Compatability'. If its off, the value will be '=0'. You'll need to change it to '=1'. Try that and load up again.

I guessing with the pmdg converter you only have on the departure and arrival countries assigned in the cfg (without the //) running ??

 

I tried to run with all all areas active and it didnt work, too much data im guessing ??

Probably is too much to enable. My common practice is to only enable the countries that I am flying over, plus the departure and arrival counties. For example, flying from Munich to Madrid I will enable; Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain. 
Obviously the longer your route the more counties you have to enable, and the more time it will take to read the data and load. I use this time to set up the simulator, weather and ATC etc.
