August 1, 201411 yr It's easy to understand why he's doing it once you see what the terminal looks like. It's all glass, so detailing the interior makes a lot of sense in this case.http://architizer.com/projects/mbs-international-airport/ Brian Brian W KPAE
August 1, 201411 yr OOM Magnet. David Zambrano, CFII, CPL, IGI I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
August 1, 201411 yr OOM Magnet. I don't think it will be, again its a small airport, not really near a big city...
August 1, 201411 yr Maybe you can fly into this airport with an AirCreation, stop at the counter and order yourself a cup of coffee. lol

Way cool!
August 1, 201411 yr Couldn't agree more. This is a flight simulator, not The Sims. It's whatever you want it to be. I drive and sail in the sim more than I fly. I would kill for the first person view that was in MS Flight, but FSX is what it is. To the users that think modeling the inside of the terminal is "pointless", i feel the same way about flying long hauls in tubeliners, to each their own. I don't buy many airport addons from ORBX lately since they do bring frames down to much, but I am familiar with Russ's work and even though I don't fly heavies, I'll pick this one up when released to see how it does and show my support for a fellow scenery developer and his new venture. Best, Michael KDFW
August 1, 201411 yr Wow, highly realistic. Unfortunate that they chose a very small airport with regional ops, nobody can fly anything real big into there. Yea but think about how much fun it'll be to take the aerosoft CRJ in there. ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
August 1, 201411 yr Actually, now that I look at it, I totally understand why he's doing it. Way cool! Yeah... same here. And maybe there's something more: I guess sometimes these things are made for the sole purpose of dreaming a bit. I don't know how to explain. Someone needs to show this kind of concept now so we can (who knows?) have flight simulators in the future so detailed that even a high detailed terminal or a bunch of detailed grass passes as something normal and expected. I'm ok with someone giving us a glance of a hopeful future for our flight sims. Gabriel J. T. Rodrigues My mods in the library My photography (site updated!) English isn't my native language. August 1, 201411 yr Is this for FSX? I'm sorry, I'm a stickler for extreme detail and all, but like some have said here above me, this is an incredible waste of resources and time. Who could possibly want to explore the inside of a terminal? Needless to say, the already minimal free computing resources most of us have available for FSX computational tasks will be senselessly wasted on something 99% of users will never see. A.J. Domingo

If you look @ the picture of there terminal, it's basically all clear glass.
August 1, 201411 yr Russ is a genius. He did some amazing work over at ORBX and he's continuing that with his new company. Looks really, really good but I also agree that for me I am not that interested in terminal interiors. But hey, if it doesn't affect performance, who cares. Hirdy
August 1, 201411 yr Personally I think an innovation like this is cool. Very cool. Not a waste of time. Especially with the way the real terminal is designed. We need more airports like this for these new business aircrafts coming soon
August 1, 201411 yr Yea but think about how much fun it'll be to take the aerosoft CRJ in there. I'll believe it when I see it. Regards, Jeremy Chesney
August 1, 201411 yr We could use his talent over on Secondlife, then we'd be able to move around and chat with other avitars Chris Strobel KSNA
August 1, 201411 yr It's just that, a model. No body knows what it's for exactly, so it's not a waste of time. And even if for FSX or an addon, it's not a waste of time. As far as frame rates and VAS go. Nobody knows the footprint of that yet. Looking at these images makes me realize why no one has really tackled KPDX lately. Because there are segments of it that's all glass, and it would look better if you could see into it. Nathan Allen Pinard Virtual Pilot in Training Composer/Sound Designer www.nathanallenpinard.com
