August 4, 201411 yr is there going to be any difference whether I got payware (Registered) or free copy of it? The free copy will still fix that G3D.dll error, and it will connect certain payware addons to FSX, it will however have limited functionality. You will not be able to customize it for controls, or wind smoothing, ect....
August 4, 201411 yr Quote UsePools/PoolSize=0 -> this makes your GPU handle more of a load than your CPU, this is essential to attaining better frames. I think there are differing opinions about this tweak. From what I have read, it isn't a universal solution for everyone. BP=0 bypasses the internal FSX buffer, so data is sent directly to the GPU. For me frame rate increases markedly. However... that frame rate increase is only noticed for me, with a heavy weather scenario. The requirement is a graphics card with more than 1gb memory.
August 4, 201411 yr Thanks for the clarification, Martin. I just remembered a post from bojote some time ago about the Bufferpools tweak, but I couldn't quite remember the details. January 6, 201511 yr Have a gtx 780 and 4790k with 8 GB ram. Orbx Australia + orbx ybbn/yscb/ymml v2/ymav. Active Sky Next. Rex4 - textures only. Pmdg ngx - only add on aircraft installed. Shadow play in use when playing FSX (full screen mode) Orbx AI traffic. *Settings are mid to mid high settings. I've been using FSX for a while now, so I know it's all about balance. *FSX settings - mid to high range. Orbx settings - low to mid settings. ASN settings - low to mid (7 layers of cloud). Rex4 - dxt5 1096 cloud settings. *Bojotes FSX.cfg tweaks applied. Nvidia inspector settings applied according to PMDG recommendations. I get perfect performance for the first ten minutes of gameplay, then it turns to crap. Fps drop from my nvidia inspector locked 30 fps, to 20-25 fps, and then sometimes 15-20 fps after another 10 minutes. What have I done wrong? They aren't extravagant settings. There are other users getting better results with equivalent or lesser hardware specs than me. What am I doing wrong? Brian Nellis

January 16, 201511 yr Yeah. Didn't want to. Turns out its yscb that's the problem. It hates my computer. FTX ymml v2, and FTX ybbn work so well. But FTX yscb is glitchy. I think it creates a memory leak Brian Nellis
