Ai Flight Planner

Recommended Posts

I have FSX all working well, AI aircrafts and Flights are good. I recently made a flight plan; SYD to BKK (VTBS) and the duration of flight was 18hrs. How to I correct this.

Try checking the aircraft's cruise speed if AIFP's aircraft editor. There's a menu option to restore cruise speed from the aircraft.cfg if the speed in AIFP is wrong. The manual explains that it's common to use a reduced speed for the schedule so that the AI flight will not be late (if it's late FSX will delete it). The plane will still fly according to the speed in the aircraft.cfg so it would not actually take 18 hours to do the flight.

My understanding is that AIFP uses 1/2 cruise speed but does so behind the scenes, but if you are using imported traffic files it will use the speeds specified in those files instead. This is fixed by restoring the cruise speed as I mentioned above.

Thanks for your reply, but it happens on all aircrafts and all created flights to and from VTBS. eg. SYD to VTBS when the flights leaves Syd it travels south and heads to the south pole. I checked other flight destinations and flight paths are completely wrong to and from VTBS. Everything else is working fine.

That is strange. What lat/long does AIFP have for VTBS?
