Surprised there's not more response to this (on these forums)....

Fast GA - Check!

Well Detailed - Check!

RNAV (GPS) Capable - Check!

What's not to love?

I would think there might be a larger response elsewhere than here. Avsim's base is largely FSX'ers...and this is not a plane that would excite FSX'ers much nor entice them to come to the dark side since the best version is already available to them :-)

2 other things (although it does look like a really cute plane)...it's a FG...and its a GA with glass. A HP plane like that screams to be a retractable...and for personal reasons it seems many forum simmers tend to shy away from glass in GA types.

X-plane 3rd party devs could help themselves more by providing new planes that we CAN'T get in FSX (yet wish we had).

But heck, if Flight1 would wrap it up I'd give it a shot for sure. Hey wait...is this going to be freeware?? If so then wild horses couldn't keep me away!

Thanks for the heads-up on this

Yeah I was hoping it would be retract too... honestly I'm surprised at the speed difference on the lancair site....  it's quite a bit slower with FG...  about a mile per minute slower, climb rate is 1000fpm less than the RG version.....  hp is about 100 less too....

But still a 3 mi per min plane sounds like a good thing for me!

Looks very nice.  Wish Alabeo or Carenado would make a Lancair.

For XP? If you're using FSX as well definetly pick up the Realair Legacy! The best GA addon out there!

Quite so, although the Duke V2 isn't too shabby......

Duke is great - we could use one in XP10!

Did anyone watch the long long beta stream of this aircraft?  It looks really good but there's a serious (possible) omission that I hope is changed before it comes out.

There's two physical NAV/COMM radios but they both are the same frequency - ie there is only 1 nav and 1 comm.

This is a problem for people who like to fly IFR online like me....  while it's not impossible to fly IFR with a single NAV source it makes flying much more efficient with two NAV radios.  I'm not sure why Aerobask can't make the GNS530 on the top and NAV1/COMM1 and put that Apollo stack on the bottom and make it NAV2/COMM2....  also there really needs to be a RMI for the Dynon that will display NAV2 bearing and distance.

Without the above this seriously amazing addon will be crippled imho...

What do others think?

That you should post this request at a place where Aerobask can read it ;-)

Anyway, I wrote him an email about that.
