Setting up reverse thrust?

Recommended Posts

I was looking in FSUIPC for a way of setting up reverse thrust since I've got an extra throttle control. Is there another way to set it up?

As they often say, Google is your friend.

Here's a couple of links to help you.  I encourage you to search the FSUIPC forum for this topic.

Basically you calibrate the mid point of your throttle lever to 0 and the bottom stop (which would be idle on a recip aircraft) to a negative value.  You set a little null zone in the middle between idle and reverse so that everytime you retard the throttle (or power lever in a TP) it doesn't jump suddenly into reverse.

I have done it on several of my TP aircraft but with my Hotas X I lose a lot of travel in the power lever.  It makes fine power adjustments tough to nail accurately.  Another option is to setup a button press on your flight controls thru FSUIPC.  I believe the command is "Throttle Dec" and check the "repeat if held" box.
