Nice to see that area.  I was at the dead sea in July 2012 and climbed Masada....started at 5am and it was already 35 degrees C.

Did you visit the Qumran National Park?

Unfortunately we did not but we did explore the excavations atop Masada and then went to cool off at Ein Gedi.

A hiding place for king David because it was only accessible by wild goats.
