Pitch Controller vs Stabilizer Trim - whats the difference?

Recommended Posts

Trying to wrap my head around the Captain Sim B-52 but I'm sure other planes have similar

I understand the Stabilizer Trim wheel will control the elevator position to maintain a 'hands off' level flight but this Pitch Controller thing I don't get.

And does it have anything to do with the Pitch SAS Switch?

I'm not familiar with the B-52 so this is just speculation, but the pitch controller may be part of the autopilot.
