So I posted not so long ago "Advice" about upgrading my current computer to work much better with FSX.

After totting it all up

GPU, MoBo, Hydro Cooler, Intel I7, C70 Case, £800 give or take.

Now I have been thinking if I were to build a computer from scratch.

What would you recommend

£1500 to play with at a stretch.

with 1500 you could easily do an I7 4790K, and a Sabertooth motherboard with a gold rated 800+ watt PSU and a GTX 770. That would yield you some really really nice frames in FSX, albeit after the proper OC'ing and FSX tweaking was done of course.

but ill post again when the time is right and get some help on tweeking and what to tweek.

My Current set up + £800 spending on it will be

That set up will set me back £800 overclocking I wouldn't do as I dont no what I am doing.

Would you say all this would be enough ?

That is pretty much state of the art - and the 4790K runs at 4.0 GHZ out of the box (+ turbo).

If you want to spend more money, the next step is a GTX 780.

..and maybe a bigger SSD - look at Samsung's 840 line.   256 / 512 / 1 TB.

If you watch some videos on youtube about building PCs - it is all there.

Are you from UK? There is a guy from UK explaining this process very well (easypcbuilder.com)

I recently applied Noctua HT-N1 (or something similar to that) and I am also using the H100i CPU cooler. This paste seems to work really well. Just make sure that the application is very thin. Too much is not good. Barely enough is perfect. I got best temps by applying and spreading across the CPU, not by applying a small blob in the centre and then pressing the cooler down to spread the paste as advocated on most websites these days.

Yeah rule of thumb is about a pea sized amount in the center of the CPU . When you put your HSF on the CPU it will spread out and when heat is applied (PC turned on) it will spread out and be positioned correctly.
