It looks ok I guess, but the panel doesn't seem anything to write home about. On top of that another modeler has gotten cockpit windows wrong. They just dont look like that, they are DARK!!! Check out that Delta bird on the home page!!! The metal is far too chromelike also IMHO. She will need repainting ;)Hornit

I really believe this team is going to do justice to the L1011. Just like the great work they did on the FS2k2 Clipper, this will be the L1011 version to have (if you like this bird of course). I remember flying on these birds when Eastern was still in business. The shots you

I think I will wait for erick Cantu to finish his hiatus from flightsim design and use his FREE L1011. If it's even close to the quality of the 727 he did it will be worth it. In all honesty this may be a good product, we will just have to wait and see. This has been in development for quite some time now. I still think they need to change the cockpit windows, vitually no one gets this right and it makes the model look cartoonish to me.Hornit

It costs more than the sim does. :-lol :-lol :-lolTheir pre-order page charges 52.35 Euro which is $67.83 USD for the Cd Version. And their home page says they have not decided if they are going to even offer a download version.Sorry but that is way too high, IMHO for any add-on for this sim, Over 67 Dollars. I don't think so. Plus you have to add shipping to that as well. ;-)They also state on their place order page:"There may or may NOT be a download version available when time comes."52.35 EUR = $67.83 USDhttp://www.xe.com/ucc/Maybe you folks over in Europe think that is reasonable, but here in the States, charging that much for One Aircraft is absurd, IMHO.I looked at the VC and 2D Cockpit shots. They just don't look very impressive to me compared to what is already commercially available. I just don't see the value for that amount of Money. Here is a link for those wanting a L1011-500 now. It is Mike Stones Freeware Model (Direct Link)http://www.pmstone.com/download.php?f=sl10115.zipI found this Panel in the Library for Mike Stones Freeware L1011. There also some repaints in the library as well, for those who want a L1011 in FS9 and can't afford this one.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...4pan&DLID=48013Nice Delta Livery Here, same guy did the Panel, Chris Alevritis:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...acrp&DLID=48098Found some MD11 Sounds here:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...snds&DLID=45095You can go fly the Freeware one until this one comes out. :-)Regards,Joeaopa.gif" border="0" alt="Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

Both retail for US$ 34,90 each.....That came from their website. Am I missing something? I'd be happy with just a -500 for 35 bucks. I think it looks pretty good. I've been waiting for a 1011 for years. The only thing that worries me is this. On the site, in the team members section, there is a "?" on the box where the FDE designer should be. I hope that doesn't mean the FDE hasn't been developed yet, or hasn't even been started yet. Seems like the great releases have FDEs that were developed other months or years. I hope they do that beautiful airliner justice. To me the L1011 is the class act of the 70 era jumbo age.

That first line on my post was copied from their website, under the project/overview section. It says US 34.90, go look at it.

Does it have a virtual cabin like the Flight 1 ATR? Left out of the LDS 767 but the bar was set very high by flight 1 with the ATR anything less will be a disappointment.Bruceb

Yeah, 52,35 EUR or $67.81 seems a little pricy for the full package. You would think the pre-orders would be a little cheaper so those who end up being the "beta testers" get a little bit of a bargain. The screen shots look like the graphics are a little out dated. I did not investigate too much, however. Nothing matters until the release as the plane may be amazing. One thing is for sure though in my mind, the plane must be amazing to spend that much money on the full package. With planes like the ERJ, 767, ATR, and 737 in my hanger, it will be hard to make room for the L1011 and spend that kind of money and time to learn a new plane unless the team really blows me away. We'll see...
