LOD Radius and V2.3

Has anyone performed any testing on whether LOD Radius has an effect on 2.3?

I have, nothing.  Something seems to have been modified and I'm not very happy with what I see.  It's almost as if the concentric rings of different levels of focus have been compressed, and less focus is now closer in.   I'm very happy with the performance increases, regarding clouds in particular, but now I am looking at a very blurry horizon, which is ruining the experience for me.
