No head turning

Recommended Posts

I have just purchased Opus FSX and after a bit of a struggle have got the weather side of things working perfectly.

I am, however, struggling with the DHM. I fly a PMDG 737NG and no matter what settings I use, I can get

shaking and up and down movement on the ground and in the air but no head turning when taxiing or when

banking.

I have read the manual but am obviously missing something. Can you help?

You must enable and configure your DHM. If you have Live Camera enabled then DHM is associated with the camera views. Best import my supplied set for the 737NGX. Otherwise you must configure the General DHM. Sounds like you have LC enabled in which you must create and select your camera views. So just import my supplied set and specify your joystick buttons to them. DHM will be enabled where appropriate, best edit the DHM and disable the Bump Aircraft option for now though.

Thanks, Stephen, I have now managed to get head movement working. I do not have any buttons available, they are all allocated to FSX, so I used Shift+1, which has given me a default view, which seems to be all DHM needs.

I am not quite clear on how to use your profile. Do I just put it in the Opus folder as is?

Best read the LC manual. The CDF files contain views that can be imported via the Import button in the Cameras dialog. If you don't have any joystick buttons you can assign a key such as X to all views and use it to cycle them. Make sure you assign the aircraft types to the views and select the Captains view as Default.
