Strange Wireless Joystick Issue

This only happens in FS2004 so I wanted to ask here... I have the Logitech Freedom Cordless Joystick, and its really great... except I've noticed that when it goes offline to save battery power, the throttle in FS2004 automatically goes to full throttle. Is there any way I can prevent this?
