The new DOHA OTHH Taxi2Gate

Recommended Posts

Easy via UT2 power tools and tab airport modifications ;-)

- First add airport: (second option)

... ICAO code OTHH and IATA DOH

...Name Hamad International Airport

...Country Qartar

...Longitude and latitude N25.15.33 and E51.37.59

...Feet 17

Save

then modify ICAO code on IATA airport

Search for DOH and add OTHH

Save

then modify IATA code on ICAO airport

Search for OTBD and add XJD

Save

Finally choose check for conflicts and choose resolve those :-)

As always make just a simple backup from the UT2 database so you can revert back easy when needed...

(C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Flight One Software)

Have fun :-)

Amazing! Now, why didn't I think of that...

Thanks a million!!! :)

Cheers!

Thanks, it seems to be switching the entire schedule just fine following your steps. However, is 'XJD' actually necessary or is it just a placeholder for the IATA code which can be replaced by any combination that doesn't already exist at any other airport?

You can choose whatever however make sure it doesn't conflict with another airport...

I have chosen a nearby military airport.... It could be another one which has almost no traffic. Didn't tested it with a place holder not known or blank for that matter.

You could check the manual from UT2

Have fun gentlemen...

Fantastic scenery and I'm glad I purchased it! But for me the killer is no AI :(  and I use WoAI so if anyone has any remedy please let me know.

MyTraffic 2013 uses BGL to generate traffic? Couldn't you use AIFP or TTools to manually edit the correct flightplans?

I know, it's quite a job, but otherwise I don't see how...

The other option is to wait until new flightplans are generated... I don't use MT2013, so I'm not familiar with it, though...

I´ve got My Traffic 2013, too. Is there a chance that we´ll get AI traffic on OTHH??? :-(

The freeware version has it so that OTDB traffic goes to the new OTHH. Shouldn't be hard for T2G to do this too?

For those with BGL based AI, you could try http://stuff4fs.com/open.asp?Folder=AIFP&JS=TRUE

It has a "Find & Replace" option to edit airports. Never used that option, so you would need to read manual. I believe it does work.

Edit:

Ok, here is what you do, in aifp2, go to "files", select "Open Traffic BGL" after it loads, at top menu, select "flight plans",  select "Find/Replace"

Next, where it says "field condition", select "Destination", next in the "Find box" type OTBD then in the "Replace" box, type OTHH then click on "replace With" and your done.

Works in  FSX, and P3D

Not tried this with My Traffic, that could be interesting :)
