My lens flare is gone...

Recommended Posts

I just re installed FSX, and now the lens flare is not showing... I have assured that all the files are in place and that lens flare is turned on.

Anyone able to help me?

I rarely see it. Think there has to be very specific light and time conditions for it to work.

That's a good one!

Yes very helpful... Might be the last time I ask for help around here!

Lighten up. FSX throws so many curves that nobody has all the answers. Nobody meant any harm. If you don't keep a sense of humor this stuff will drive you crazy.

FSX by itself or do you have Acceleration also?  If no Acceleration, did you install Sp1 and Sp2?

If all else fails, there are addons that help with sun flare and sun/moon water reflections.

Just in case you didn't know: lens flare only shows up in external views. Internal views don't have lens flare.

P.S. Works great with REX 4, but install "after" REX has injected textures.

Sun Flare is available in every version of FSX ever released. It does not depend upon Acceleration, SP1, or SP2.
