AVSIM - Library - Categories - Microsoft Flight - Repaints Only Accepted

Hi Folks

 

I'd been intending uploading an addon for Microsoft's FLIGHT product.

 

I'm hoping this query arises,

purely as a result of

not having been requested previously,

hence the relevant AVSIM download categories

had not yet been created.

 

 

 

I was surprised to find

that on attempting to upload into AVSIM's library

the only available category for any Microsoft FLIGHT addon,

is for some unpublished reason, (possibly personally as yet undiscovered within AVSIM's labyrinthe),

entirely disimilar from

every other aspect of AVSIM's hosting of 3rd party addons for previous Microsoft products.

 

In that all FLIGHT addons are currently -

EXCLUSIVELY restricted to uploading REPAINT packages.

 

 

 

Is there any specific, valid, & legal reason
why this exclusive "repaints only" category restriction,

has been applied to AVSIM's upload section for Microsoft FLIGHT ?
