Texture Issue with VC Cockpit in FSX 744

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've noticed that when I go into VC Cockpit the textures of the PMDG 747 don't look right within FSX, I've enclosed pictures to show what I mean.

I use EZDOK and wondered is this anything to do with that? I'd appreciate any help or advice as I find I'm unable to use 747 at moment

Hi Saim,

It looks like the the panels are missing the detail, I don't know really how to describe it,

If I go into VC panel on 777 it looks completely different then it does on 747. This makes me wonder if there is some texture or something missing.

Thanks

You do realize the 747 is about 8 years older than the 777 is? The 747 will look different in texture quality and color because it was originally built for FS9. The 777 is a brand new aircraft and is bound to look better than the old 747. To me there is nothing wrong with the pictures, the textures look completely normal...

Hi Ciaran & Saim,

Thanks both for your help. It must be me thinking there was something wrong when infact it was all ok.

Thanks

On the hopeful side; most developers working on the 777 have moved to the 747 v2, so if you hold out a bit (counting in months, naturally) you'll be able to get a 747 where the quality is comparable. :-)

+1 to those who replied to the issue.  I own both the 747 and 777 and they indeed are two different animals, with respect to textures.  I am looking forward to the new 747 myself and hope PMDG incorporates the same great quality of the 777 as well as the sophisticated systems functionality.  Closer to the real thing is a good thing. :)
