Moving to Windows 7 Ultimate

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

My computer has Windows 7 Professional Portuguese-BR. To install and use Speak Recognition, I have to migrate to Ultimate in order to have English in Regional Settings. Then I can use FS2Crew and other similar voice to machine software.

I ask you: will I have problems with my PMDG NGX, 777 and J41 licenses after migrating?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

with the 777,you can deactivate the licence on demand.(can't remember if this can be done with the NGX).

Anyway, contact their support and they'll have you up and running in no time.

I guess I'll have to think carefully about this step up to Ultimate. There are other commercial licensed addons installed and the system is stable with almost fixed 40 fps. I don't know even if it will be a seamless upgrade to other software aspects.

Anyway, Jude, thanks a lot for your time.

If you do it as an in-place upgrade you should be fine, but if you do a complete re-installation, you may need to deactivate and then reactivate.

Im Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on both my FSX PC and my Secondary PC(Notebook). I believe you cant just simply upgrade so you will need to do a fresh install of Win7 Ultimate therefore you will need to unlicense the 777 from within the sim as Jude mentioned and as for the NGX and J41 this is not available and you will have to just proceed with the un-install, and ofcoz if you have problems activating those two you can always open up a support ticket

cheers
