Tail dragger mod

Can anybody tell me what mods I need to make to an aircraft.cfg file to allow a taildragger to be stearable vs differential braking (current)?Its a cheat, but #####.ThanksEric

Don't know if this helps you or not but the MAAM DC3 has an option to allow just that. Don't know what it does to the aircraft.cfg to enable it, but I use. I never could the differential braking down pat...billg

A castoring tail wheel will be set to 180, change that to 30-45 degrees for a steering effect. Some of the frustration with taxiing aircraft that use a conventional landing gear in FS9 is the result of an incorrect setting in the airfile. If you have an airfile editor like AirEd or AAM, you can set Cn_dt Yaw Moment-Thrust to provide a steering effect on the rudder from prop wash. Open Rec 1101 and increase the value of Cn_dt Yaw Moment-Thrust. Values from 0.01-0.09 are a good starting place depending on the aircraft. You

The trick is to remember that it's like a casting wheel on a shopping cart. The thing to remember is that not all conventional gear planes castor, the DC-3 castors but the J-3 does not.
