December 4, 201411 yr When I get the new version.... What version of the F1 GTN 750 is required. Is it OK that I don't own the 650? Yep, you definitely don't need the 650..... I don't have it, and the MV C310R works just fine with the 750 only.
December 4, 201411 yr Moderator When I get the new version.... What version of the F1 GTN 750 is required. Is it OK that I don't own the 650. And lastly... Do I use the GTN Configuration tool on the 310? Or just simply do your GTN patch? Or both? There are only two versions of the F1 GTN750: FSX and P3D. There is no reason to run the GTN Configuration tool on the C310R. In fact, doing so will probably break the preset configuration I've done for the customer! If you don't have the GTN650, the display for it will simply be blank, as though the unit was turned off. Fr. December 6, 201411 yr Having had time to investigate this issue further, I have noticed that both your screenshot and my video are using the original interior model I had made for this upgrade package. However, the current interior model has the KAP140 autopilot at the top of the left stack, with the GTN750 below it. I will be updating the GTN750/650 installer tomorrow with this new(er) interior model, as well as including the missing fonts just in case they are needed. Any progress? I uninstalled the C310 using your installer and tried with all the current files and the fonts (fonts are correct now) and still INOP. Charles.
December 6, 201411 yr Moderator Not yet Charles. I've been detoured to several other projects with somewhat higher priority at the moment, but do expect to get 'er done ASAP. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
December 7, 201411 yr I just bought the C310 GPS upgrade for Prepar3Dv2.4 and experience the exact same problem as cvearl. I have installed: MV_C310R_P3Dv2_v3.140807 MilViz_C310R_F1GTN_v1.140818 and added: model=GTN750 panel=GTN750 in the aircraft.cfg Looking forward to a solution to this. Best regards
December 7, 201411 yr Moderator I just bought the C310 GPS upgrade for Prepar3Dv2.4 and experience the exact same problem as cvearl. Did you by chance run the Flight1 GTN Configuration tool? If so, you should not have. This comes already set up and pre-configured. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
December 7, 201411 yr Did you by chance run the Flight1 GTN Configuration tool? If so, you should not have. This comes already set up and pre-configured. Yes, as I have removed/installed both the C310 and the GTN750 several times, on some occations I ran the GTN configurator, but I also tried without. p.s.: I just got access to the milviz support forums - and as I posted over there, I also noticed that shift+7 does not function - i.e. can't get to the menu to remove chocks. Hope this helps. Best regards.
December 8, 201411 yr Moderator I just loaded the C310R w/ GTN750/650 and tested. Shift-7 does bring up the Preflight Gauge as designed. I have no idea why it won't work for you (or anyone else for that matter). In any case, I hope to have a new installer built and tested by late this afternoon. Fr. December 8, 201411 yr Thanks - I feel your pain, it's hard to nail a bug you can't reproduce. Some more info if its any help - just ask if you need more: * I only have the GTN750 - not the 650 * I'm running Windows 8.1 pro * I also have the Cessna 182 from A2A which also supports integrated GTN750, and it works fine there. * I think I have tried every graphic setting in my Prepar3Dv2.4 - but to no avail Best regards

December 9, 201411 yr Moderator Not really. Somewhere along the line apparently an "old version" of the upgrade was made available in error. This is obvious since the current version has the KAP140 on the top of the left stack, with the GTN750 under it, lined up at the same level as the GTN650. I'm working on a new installer that I hope to have available for everyone tomorrow. I had a dental appointment this morning, and had brakes fixed on my car this afternoon. Fr. Sounds good Bill - really looking forward to this Next time fix brakes first - then you don't have to fix teeth afterwards
