The more opponents for my P-51 the better!.....BUT!

I won't be buying Bf-109 or the Dora until ED fixes all the bugs & what's promised, starting with the Uh-1, Mi-8 & Sabre!

Enuf is enuf! if they don't cherish their existing customers, it will bite them in the &@($* in the future!

But, I believe the UH1H, Mi8 and F86 are not ED native but rather Belsimtek. The P51d and the Dora are ED, and, each one is a masterpiece.

I will have, sooner or later, to decide if I'll keep Il2 BOS or DCS World. I know I like both, but I can't deal with both at the same time.... IL2 BOS is a pleasure to use, and has excellent graphics, is evoling at a very good pace, it's based on ww2 scenery and campaign mode will be available, BUT! when I want the closest to real flight and systems modeling, it's DCS I use....

Main Simulation Rig:

Glider pilot since 1980...

Avid simmer since 1992...

Belsimtek is a ED company, owned & run by ED......

Why choose between the two, why not fly both of them? you've invested money in both so why do you have to dump one?

I'm in the same boat, plus CoD and RoF. And I spend most of my time in FSX!! I love all of them for different reasons, but I am certainly far from mastering any one of the combat sims in particular. In fact, I'm pretty terrible at all of them. Wish I could focus on one and become confident enough to get serious with some online gameplay.

That said, of course I will be preordering the 109.

And the cycle continues...

The reason for dumping one is that I prefer to learn all the details of the sims I really like. That's wahy I had Aerowinx PS1, now PSX...

IL2 BOS is great, excellent graphics and in some ways the feel of flight and being there, but DCS is a lot more detailed, and the way the aircraft behave appear closer to their real performance figures.

Yes there is no historic environment in DCS, and it's actually ridiculous to be dogfighting and searching earth targets based on modern war, but still, when I take the p51d, the fw190, it's special :-)

Just bought the pre-release.

I have narrowed my combat flightsim spectrum, and am now solely concentrated in DCS.

All of the upcoming products and game platform updates sound very  promising, and I really don't want to "lose" time with other ww2 / ww1 combat sims...

Looking forward for further ww2 birds!

The quality of the "Dora" is simply remarkable, as almost everything about the DCS Flight and overall physics and systems modeling.

No Belsimtek is not a ED company it is about the differance between Lockheed martins P3d and Carenado that make aircraft for it.

They are not the same.

They are not the same.

On the ED forums it's known that ED & BT are practically the same. How the complicated ownership looks I don't know, but they do share employees.

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/magnificent_eight/

"Developed by Belsimtek and Eagle Dynamics, the team behind the hit title DCS: UH-1H Huey, DCS Mi-8MTV2 continues to deliver exceptional realism and immersive gameplay within the DCS World virtual battlefield."

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1812394&postcount=1

"Recently a group of Belsimtek and ED devs took a field trip an airfield near Moscow"

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/450408-bf-109-k4-kurfurst/page-2

"Where not a single true 3rd party has yet released a module (I don't count Belsimtek, as they share employees with ED)"

Just have to read between the lines my friend....
