Thanks again Duke.  Giving any thoughts to the boats idea?

I need to experiment if boat traffic volume affects much. Then, yes.

I did a little test and, flying the Turbine Duke up around Seattle with boat traffic turned off I was getting between 33-47 FPS...averaging around 38.

With boat traffic at 100% I was getting between 23 and 33...averaging about 28.

So that's same as aircraft. Let me work on it then...

Here's a new work-in-progress version with a radar display for traffic watchers:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/zmdftsy127jgux2/AirTrafficManagerFSX-P3D_Radar.zip

Click the Radar button to display the radar. You can alter the scale using the combo. The radar will update after the optimize cycle runs, so every minute if the optimize is checked. Blue is you, green is AI active and red AI deleted in last cycle. Radar is always north oriented.

Thank you very much for this excellent tool! Just tried it for the first time and it worked superbly! Did a 4,5 hrs flight in ORBX Australia from Sydney to Darwin with live weather and very high graphics settings. Limited traffic to 50 and the airports looked alive and well.

Hope this gets intergrated into P3D somehow. I'm sure this is the sort of algorithms that can help reduce VAS.

I run a setup with 1000+ traffic bgls, and finally I can run all my custom traffic at once without a sweat.

I'm using P3d v2.4 (of course ;-)

Can you try this:

Also try installing Simconnect again, look in the "redist" folder under where P3D is installed. Then look for simconnect.msi under FSX-RTM, FSX-SP1 and FSX-SP2-XPACK folders. Install all three from these folders.
