Question regarding NAT and Turbulence

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am familiar with Oceanic Procedures etc., however I have a question regarding choosing your preferred route vs turbulence.

I am using the following site which depicts High Level SIGWX along with NATs.

This is TMI265.

Now, according to my calculations, NATA would be the most efficient one to choose (fuel & time wise) @FL350. Problem is that it crosses through a moderate turbulence area as it is shown above.

Therefore, should I opt for a different NAT track or should I stick with NATA? I mean what is more important: To avoid turbulence at any cost or to choose the most fuel or time efficient one and disregard a bit of turbulence?
