That video has been around for a while...Frmo what I remember, yeah - it was struck. The airplane turned around and came in for a landing to be inspected for damage.

I think they found some carbon scoring on the entry and exit points, but aside from that, I don't think there was any actual damage. Because of the properties of lightning and static electricity, the electrical charge remains on the outside of the aluminum skin, and because the entire aircraft is COVERED in it, the internals were well protected from electrical damage.Thanks to the Boston Museum of Science and the worlds biggest Van de Graff generator for the lightining lessons years ago. I finally get to use what I learned here. :)
