Ariane's 737-700VCE

Has anyone tried it; their briefing manual states it's the closest they have come to a 737-JAA/FAA approved simulator for a PC. Be interesting to hear what purchases/NG captains think.

Do a search for it on the forum and youll see. It was discussed to death when it was published.

Pretty certain those who could afford it will give you glowing reports--no one's going to admit to blowing that much money on something that wasn't as advertised. But one bit of advice on advertising--and this comes from our very own MSFS "As Real as it gets" slogan--saying something is as close as it comes to a 737-JAA/FAA approved simulator is as subjective as saying it's as "Real as it gets". I think they state that in hopes that potential buyers will focus on the word "approved" vs. the qualifier "as close".... Some will certainly walk away thinking it's JAA/FAA approved, as we read what we want to read. But you raise an interesting second question--anyone here an NG pilot, and if so have they flown either this model or PMDG's? I'd love to see a review of any of the high level packages--whether it be for a 727, 767, A32x by someone who flies these birds...-John

Over at the PMDG forum is a guy called Brad Marsh. He is a 737NG pilot for Virgin Blue I believe and is very impressed with the PMDG product. Do a search in the forum. He has also been very helpful with procedures and OP instructions for this aircraft.Glenn
