A simple question on A/THR

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My FSX is not working, and I just had forgotten this on Airbus: If we disconnect A/P but not the A/THR, the plane will manage speed in speed mode. But will it still manage the FMS speeds or will it only manage our last speed?

Thanks

The word 'Managed' means the FMGS is taking care of things.  A/P & A/THR are separate, disconnecting the A/P with A/THR engaged  will not change whatever mode A/THR was in prior to disconnect.

You must select either Managed or Selected Speed.

If you switch off the flight directors the A/THR will revert to Selected Speed.

1) Thanks, so it follow the FMGS till the end even if disconnect the A/P, right?

2) How are the FMGS and A/P communicating? With signals? So the FMGS is sending signals to the A/P and if we push the knob, it will keep locking each and every signal?

3) Are the GPS IRS/INS signals sent to the FMGS?

Thanks a lot FLEX

Sorry but I am not getting into all of that with you again. You have shown all of us here that you are not ready to learn the more complex aspects of the aircraft.

The topic was 'A simple question on A/THR'.  I've given you the answer.

Exactly. Like wanting to SCUBA dive with out learning to swim first.
