0 : I'm having constant stutters

Best Regards,

Yvan Duong

Resounding 1, but (there is always a but), it would be nice to see a concrete "roadmap" towards the resolution of long-in-the-tooth problems with this platform that afflict some if not all simmers using this platform:

  • The micro/0.5 second/[insert your neologism here]-stutters
  • Blurries
  • The dramatic loss of performance in the notorious black holes of the sim, namely the Seattle area, London, Milan (and potentially others)
  • As of recently, an issue with aircraft carrier lights, and wake effect (I appreciate this is a niche request)

These issues would be really great to resolve, and it would be great to see Lockheed Martin devote attention to these issues over and above eye-candy items that are usually found in their request list, like sloping runways, etc. But then again my interests/priorities as a simmer are probably different from their commercial goals/imperatives/etc.

Just my unsolicited 2 cents/pennies.

1: a solid minor release. No big changes, but several smaller improvements, and no regressions discovered so far.

1...though I'm getting some vertical spikes. However I did a clean install and need to compare my old p3d.cfg to the new one. I imagine some alterations will take care of the spikes. Even if they don't...they don't really bother me (though I know drive others crazy).

Also...I'm Howard...new to the forum but simming on and off since '95 or so. Took last 4-5 years off from simming and was surprised to come back to find that "FSX"...and now P3d...was still such a dog on some systems. Bought a new rig and it's great but still tweaking config files. Can't believe hardware still hasn't caught up to this engine. Anyways...nice to meet y'all.

I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
