FSX Stutters

Hello all AVSIM Forum users.

I try to read every opened threats before i open a new threat but this is something i have never faced before.Even though i have tried almost all the suggested ways until now,i havent solved my problem.I dont know how can i explain this,Any add ons are installed,This is original game now.Only sp1 and sp2 have been installed.i uploaded a video to youtube.I hope this explains the situation.

In addition my system specs are;

GTX 660

AMD X4 3.0 GHz Processors

8 GB RAM

1 TB HDD

 

I have formatted my system,nothing is installed but FSX  and still getting this annoying stutters.I would be really grateful if you could help me.I beg your helps,this game means life for me.

Thank you for your answer however,i have done it.Sorry i forgot to add it in the description.

Another thing i would like to add,i dont think this is happening because of some crowded cities or airports.Even in some regular airports this is happening.

maybe you could post your fsx.cfg settings.

I don't think that tweaking tool has much effect with today's hardware, infact I'm afraid it can even make things worse.

I would start with a new fsx.cfg file - but if you want to use the tweaked version, make the following changes:

UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=30

 

Then using nvidia Inspector, set Vsynch to 1/2 monitor refresh rate.

 

A fixed fps rate will give you a less jerky picture and the 1/2 vsynch  (1/2 * 60 = 30) and 30 fps

gives you a smoother scenery view.

 

A faster PC system may be needed to produce a totally smooth flying experience.

my personal recent experience with Bojote's tweaking tool is increased stuttering. I think some of the tweaks applied don't take into account changes that occured in the hardware field in the last 5 years.

Unlimited frame rate can be part of the problem too, also make sure you don't have any extra processes running in the background, i.e. antivirus.

I noticed your same kind of stuttering when using DX9, you might want to consider giving DX10 a try, starting by giving a thorough read to the DX10 How to document and using the free shader fix from steveFX, version 3.2.2 iirc (you can easily find both on Avsim).

If your test with DX10 is succesfull, I suggest you go for steveFX's payaware DX10 Fixer, mandatory for the best DX10 experience.

I agree with Bert. I think locking the framerate in the 20-30 range will be a really good thing to try.

All right thank you for all your answers.Thanks to you i have fixed my problem.There are no stutters anymore i just get 12-13 fps in airbus x mode but its okay for now i suppose.

For one day everything was good.However,exactly the same stutter happened again.I was just checking whether my fps is good or not,i just opened a game in barcelona airport then i switched to zürich,when it opened in zürich,annoying stutters started again.I dont think this is related to my system.There must be something else but i can't determine what is it..
