People moan that PMDG miss release dates and it's quite simple. If PMDG say 3-5 days then change that to 3-5 weeks, that way you don't get stressed.

 

It is the trouble with buying a product from perfectionist, however it is what makes PMDG aircraft so fine. They could do like some other add-on makers and leave the parts that don't work as just that, even some big software houses do that, instead the work and work until the product is top notch and when they find they can't go anymore, they start a fresh and rebuild.

 

I for one are happy to wait until they give it the all clear and release even if it takes longer.

I prefer PMDG's "soon" or "it'll be ready when it's ready" approach. Robert should really copyright that. But I find it a tad funny to read some people's reactions when they don't meet the announced dateline.

I think its embarrassing, you would think people as intelligent as them would read there own posts and think...

hmmm "perhaps I/we would exclude dates from now on as there clearly always wrong and misleading to our customers.."

Personally, if there's any "embarrassment" I'd say it's with the grown guys showing their impatient petulance and annoyance because something's not ready 'NOW!' and they can't play with it yet.

 

I mean it's not like PMDG are hanging on to something completed 'just to wind a few people up'.

 

If it's not out yet, there really is only one reason why;   it's not ready yet.   :ph34r:

You guys are so funny.
O own a shop and give customers a date when they can pick up there work. People come in on the day I've give and they collect, on time.(24 year old the business is now)

I love PMDG work, but it does not been I like being told dates that never get met, if I did the same to my customers I would not get very far.

"O come in next Saturday..."
Next Saturday..
"Hi I've come in to pick up my work"
"O well that was just a estimate, try again in 2 day time or 5 days!"
" but you told me next Saturday"
" well that was just an estimate!!!....get over it!"

Yes Kyle that would work well....if you lot even open a shop/business just try that out and see how you get along.

You just don't get the point do you? its nothing to do with waiting or it not being ready. Its to do with being told a date time and time again and it never being met.

May I suggest that you just pipe down a little. The aim of your post appears to be just provocative. You will not receive the product any earlier, and you may be the first to complain if it is not bug free.

 

I know that you fully realise that the more complex a development the more likely it is to slip its schedules. You didn't explain in your post that you are selling only a product a lot simpler than the B777.

 

Don't forget that one of the elements of SP1C will be to support Bryan's FS2Crew 777, and we know that he is under pressure to complete. All of the contributing teams are busting a gut because their incomes depend on it.

 

If I have missed a point that you are making, then please say so.
