October 10, 201411 yr I run actually my system in suround with 2 GTX580 cards. I'm considering replacing for a single GTX980. On the bechmark the 980 seems to have about double the capability of one 580. But I'm not sure what kind of improvement I can achieve by switching from 2 cards to one card. Probably much less. Any advices about people having done the same switch would be appreciated. October 12, 201411 yr I have always had my FPS limited to 30. I achieved that with the 2X580, and continue to achieve it with the 780. Where I've seen the most change is a reduction in % CPU usage, with an increase in % GPU usage. I've also been able to move sliders further right without incurring the g3d.dll error. RodeoGeorge
