OAT limit?

Recommended Posts

What is the lowest temperature the aircraft can fly in? Is it limited by temperature because of possible fuel freezing? It is -39c over Sweden at FL270 and I can't find a fuel temperature gauge anywhere.

The PC12 manual says Min Outside air temp = -55C (-67F) BTW max is +55C (122F), max operating Altt 30000ft  (9144m), also JET A specs:

Jet A is a similar kerosene type of fuel, produced to an ASTM specification and normally only available in the U.S.A. It has the same flash point as Jet A-1 but a higher freeze point maximum (-40°C). It is supplied against the ASTM D1655 (Jet A) specification.

so be careful, you were on the limits!!!
