PAI JS31 Jetsream model

Recommended Posts

Hi friends. I am building a retro NATO scenario set in the 1970's and need to find the PAI JS31 model. I have the aircraft.cfg file and textures for various RAF training units using the Jetstream but can't find the model or AIR file. PAI went offline long ago and their successor shut down in September. If anyone can help, I'd be grateful. I know that DJC have a much more modern JS41 model but it doesn't work for what I want to use it for

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian.

Afraid I can't help you directly except to mention VirtualCol have a (cheaper) payware JS31 on sale through simMarket and their own online store.

If WingZ doesn't have it for you, let me know. I do have it and the installer if you need it.

If you decide to use Virtualcol's JS31 as AI , please kill the VC before doing so. I haven't seen such a FPS - heavy VC for such a simple model.

It just occurred to me: the cat sat on the (computer) mouse after I posted here, and I then saw: "Report sent" or somesuch.

I hope Ian hasn't been sin-binned after being reported for spamming the forum!

I wondered why I woke up this morning with a ball and chain on my leg and wearing a striped uniform. But it's okay Mel, I only have to break rocks for a week and then they'll let me out on parole! :-) JK mate - so far at least, I don't seem to have been placed in AVSIM purgatory!
Cheers

Ian

ps. Original problem solved - thanks guys

Didn't the RAF only use the T1/T2 (old versions with Turbomeca engines instead of TPE331)? There's probably not even an AI model ever made for those, haha :).

Hi there!

I wouldn't like to start a new topic, so I'd like to post my "problem" in this one instead. Well I got the very same issue like Ian have had, I'm looking for the PAI Jetstream 31 model but neither Avsim nor Flightsim haven't the base model in their libraries nor google offers me any helpful results.

Hopefully I don't bother anyone with my enquiry if someone could tell me where I can find the Jetstream base model or could send it to me via pm or email?

Thanks a lot in advance! :)

The reason you can not find it anywhere is because the only place you could get the model was a site called Project AI which shut down quite some time ago.

PM me your email address and also let me know if you need the installer which is required to unpack the model file.

Thanks a lot Mel for your help. Another one send me already both models of the JS31, due to work I'm a little late for the response, sorry for that. I wonder if we could upload the PAI Jetstream model here on Avsim to make it available for all but I haven't read the upload policies of Project AI yet.

Best regards!
