fsx fps problem with asus n550jk

Hi there

 

I bought this laptop last week and getting fps between 9 and 21 with airbus extended . 

 

my system :

 

win 8.1

 

fsx acceleration pack

 

default scenery

 

setting normal

 

i checked . it is using geforce 850 gpu.

9 to 21 FPS is what to expect with a laptop.

 

What CPU? Turbo on? HDD: 5400 or 7200 RPM?

 

You should be able to run FSX on medium to low settings, but will have to tweak the CFG.

I get OK performance with an AsusG73Jh i7-920XM + ATI Radeon HD 5870, so I´m sure you can have that too with your n550jk, but the harddisk is a weak spot IMO. You could get a SSD, or a Seagate Hybrid HDD with the SSD cache, it would make a difference.
