This is fantastic news!  I have really missed the T7 and will definitely get the expansion and base pack!

I also will not be forking out anything like what I originally paid for the 777 to get it into P3D.

I'll quite happily continue to use it in FSX.

Many other major developers have made and are making duel FSX/P3D installers at no additional expense.

Regards

Gez

All depends on how you see it. PMDG takes this serious and I guess supportlevel must increase dramatically, also the cost. There is one thing to develop for home gamers, another thing to develop for the professional market. License cost run away very fast. I said double the price, but this is something I don't know anything about. I am not familiar with PMDG when it comes to pricing, just talking as a developer in general. But I would guess that this product will be more expensive than to FSX.

Very good job and screens, are those screen edited in any way or not? If not which filter do you use in Prepar3D 2.4!? Sorry for the OT, but if they aren't edited are very clear and crisp, and very defined.

Nope we never edit our screenshots ever, those shots are what I get in P3D on my system. Given I am running a 2500k cpu and a GTX570, amazingly P3D runs nice, it will run even nicer with the new 970/980 cards.

Fwiw, no config tweaks have been made to P3D, it's been left as is from installation except the addition of scenery enhancement products and ASN for P3D.

Those shots were taken off the west coast of Vancouver Island just north of Tofino as the sun was setting.

Really am enjoying P3D, it just feels a lot more immersive and realistic to a degree.

One question, about the price. Have another price for existence customer?

Most developer was provide for existence customer, like AS. Orbx even not charge their P3D production for existence customer.

Great news! However I am a bit sceptical considering the price tag for the upgrade from FSX. Also, regarding the lighting effect I think HDR in prepar3D is not as it should be. I find the general picture too dark to be real. For reference, white color is always a grey tone, and this t is not realistic in my opinion.

It's beautiful.

That sunset flight deck shot looks great.

HOWEVER, however... those PFD & ND's paint a scary photo Mr Randazzo. Please see me in my office later  -_-

Fantastic news!  Love the shadows.  Also can't wait for the 747v2.

PMDG & P3D == New "Golden Age" of Flight Simming!

Matthew S

With FSX DX10 and DX10 fixer, I get some nice shadowing as well but nowhere near that level! Very nice!

I also fear that this will cause a polar shift towards P3D for the more serious simmers. (So, all of us, really)

Wes Meyer

Any chance the shifting VC viewpoint can be fixed in P3D? This is something that really bugs me about the 777.
