October 30, 201411 yr Day 19 the final installment... Simulator: Prepar3D v2.4 Location: Australia Airports: YPMQ (Port Macquarie - Orbx) and YCNK (Cessnock - Orbx) Aircraft: Alabeo PiperSport (Czech Aircraft Works) Scenery: Orbx AU Regionl + Vector Textures: REX 4 Weather: ASN Warning - images are 3840 x 2160 And this concludes my 19 days 19 locations and 19 aircraft series ... the journey actually started 10/6 and finished 10/29 ... so it was really 23 days -- oh well, close enough. I tried to provide a good mix of aircraft and locations and I was really just scratching the surface. It was impossible to get to know each and every aircraft to the level I would like ... but almost 1 year after release of P3D V2.0, I'm very pleased to have enjoyed such a huge selection of aircraft, airports, and scenery. I've enjoyed being able to use these vendors products in Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D v2.4: Aerosoft Alabeo IRIS Carenado Captain Sim Wilco Majestic A2A Simulations Quality Wings Lionheart Razbam iFly Orbx REX Studios HiFi Sim ASN FlightBeam FS Dreamteam FlyTampa Taxi2Gate And probably some others I missed ... my apology in advance. Happy flight simming everyone, I think this hobby has a great future ahead of it. Cheers, Rob.
October 30, 201411 yr Looks really great, Rob...and more important...it looks like you had a blast, doing it! Mitch
October 30, 201411 yr Good shots!! I'll miss your flights Rob they are awesome, I'm using P3Dv2 and I love it, the only one thing that makes me still in FSX is AES, I hope Aerosoft find a way to make it compatible. Walter Almaraz
October 30, 201411 yr There is always a way ... it's just a matter of ROI. Unfortunately the dev's method binds AES to a specific version and their current philosophy is they don't want P3D to change (which seems short sighted and not sustainable IMHO) rather than trying to come up with another method that doesn't "bind" to a specific version. Jetways and runway taxi traffic lights obviously work, I've seen them in many airports in P3D that don't use AES. I can understand their ROI decision, but I can't understand them wanting P3D to NOT evolve/change over time ... that philosophy is a dead end. Cheers, Rob.
October 30, 201411 yr At least they should try to implement a partialy support of AES. I was testing GSX demo, I like it, the unique limitation are for the use of double or triple jetways, probably if LM could implement the option for a second jetway (Ctrl + J + 2) could be a good solution. Regards, Walter Walter Almaraz
