xplane on the same disc

Hi

i have just reinstalled my os after a very bad graphics / memory problem and wounderd if anyone can tell me, is it safe to install xplane 10 on the same hard drive that has FSX. + rex + gsx + asn

 

I have one hard drive & would love to have xplane 10 on it but i dont know if that was the cause of the upset with fsx & i wouldn't like graphics problems again.

It is odd. I have a friend that has complained in the past that FSX and X-Plane do not co-exist well on the same hard drive. 

 

I'm nt sure why, but yours isn't the first story I've heard.

I don't see any technical reason why it would cause any problems, and I have a Windows 7 computer with both installed on the same drive and have no problems at all.

P3D + many of the add ons you listed and X-plane 10 peacefully coexist on my single hard drive with no issues FWIW

Both exist side by side on the same HDD on my machine. They don't share files or write files to common locations so I can't see any reason why it would be a problem.

I run everything on one disc and actually XPX is not "installed" in a conventional manner - it runs out of a folder separate from everything else.  No registry entries, etc.

Hey install it on the same drive. XPX will not cause a conflict and vice versa. Don't worry it does not touch the registry and that is the best part.

I have been running FSX and X-Plane simultaniously from one harddisk on one computer.

Flying two Carenado Mooneys on two monitors.

Could fry an egg on my rig in no time.

 

 

Contrary its users the software does not conflict.
