Why FS2Crew will not put airbridge out

Recommended Posts

after installing AES and buying  10 credit pack I still cannot get an air bridge out. can anyone help me ?

Hi Pat,

Sorry to pass the buck  B)

You're going to want to ask the developers of that 3rd party scenery and AES.

FS2Crew can only control the default FSX jetway.

Cheers,

Have you assigned AES credits to EGLL airport via AES Help, activated EGLL in AES Help, and restarted FSX?

yes I have  Ollie, all of them problem is I cannot see the new EGLL extended as being installed on my computer but yet Aerosoft Launcher does find it, but AES help only finds th UK2000 version of EGLL which I installed months ago, but I cannot again locate it on my computer to delete it.

thanks Bryan, its Aerosoft and I am still waiting for them to respond. this pp customer service is one of the reasons I will not buy X Plane or Airbus products. Any release date yet for your Ultimatum Ground Crew X release, before Xmas ?

THE MORAL OF THIS STORY:  Now most of us have pay-ware scenery add-ons, but if you want to run FS2CREW  with them, you cannot, I went to one of my default FSX  Airports that I do not have pay-ware for yet KORD and everything worked great, so the pay-ware scenery companies need to incorporate the FSX method of CTRL J for the airbridge

You can still use FS2Crew, you'll just need to manually control the air bridge, assuming the scenery developers created a way of doing that in their 3rd party scenery.

that would be fine if it works. It works fine with the default FS  airports (yuk ! who would want them) but most if not all developers  will not model the airbridge extending  and retracting I wonder why? maybe its to squeeze more money out of us like Aerosoft and their AES I do not mind paying for something that works

Just throwing my experience in here... I have several add ons like EGLL Ultimate and KJFK and basically some gates have a working air bridge and some don't but the gates that do use ctrl-j to operate them.

Fly Tampa Dubai I have found most gates do have an air bridge although I haven't fully tested with FS2Crew yet to see if any of the add on airports automatically extends the air bridge's.

Patrick, I have FSDT's airport add-ons as well as UK2000's Xtreme Series, and FT's airport add-ons, plus Aerosoft stuff. The only air-bridges that I have found that does not operate using Ctrl+J is the FT's products. Rest all work fine with FS2Crew for any aircraft.

Almost every manual that comes with the scenery will tell you all of this.

There is an art . . . to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
