P3D Tweaking?

Evening All,

 

Out of curiosity I've been searching around various forums and I'm struggling to understand if P3D 'needs' tweaking? I've seen several posts regarding 'Infinity Mask - Job Scheduler' - Are any tweaks really needed in P3D?

 

If some of you do run tweaks, what are you using?

So far Rob Ainscough has a set of settings on his website that have helped me a lot. I wanted to paste the link here for you, but it seems that I can't do that anymore here on AVSIM. What gives? Anyway search him on Google and you'll find his site with a lot of valuable tips.

Ah, this is a really good read! Do you also use the Nvidia Inspector settings? I have read that Nvidia Inspector doesn't function correctly at the moment with P3D V2.4 or will his settings also work?

The Sparse grid super sampling in NVI has to be used, especially with 3rd party AC. Somewhere in this forum is a really good guide about what to use in NVI, I'm afraid you'll have to search for it. I have dropped all shadow effects and HDR lighting as they seem to have a hard impact on FPS, and I have a fast Haswell 4770k with a 780ti GPU!
