NVD3DUM.DLL Dare I ask!

Hi fellow simmers,

 

Well the dreaded Nvd crash keeps rearing its ugly head....and I have tried everything checked Reg uninstall drivers cleanly, now removed my sound card to see if it is that...but cannot stop the bug....

 

So very annoying looked all over the web for a definitive answer...not even MS has one...

 

So out of desperation has anyone had this and managed to stop it..oh even check all voltages re memory etc....talk about pull your hair out...and haven't got much!!

Have you checked things like video card cooling fan(s), pulled the card and cleaned all contacts. 

 

Maybe try running with the case covers off for a couple of flight sessions?  Everything I

 

read about that error points to the video card.

If you tried to overclock your NVidia card, then this could be the cause.

 

If your system is overclocked, then you should return your overclock back to the optimal defaults as one or more voltage setting could be too high/low.

If you recently updated your video card drivers, suspect this as the cause first. Reinstall the display drivers.

Thanks I have run sac several times when this happens no joy...

 

Do not oc the graphics card it should do the job! Very hard to pin this down everything says an Nvidia issue but the card appears ok not overheating nice clean re installs

 

Looking at the web it seems this is a conundrum and when a solution is finally found it will be great..
