Climate change at work in the Marshalls?

I thought I'd do a little flight in the far south pacific, from Kili (Q51) to Jaluit on an atoll in the Marshalls. I was getting a little nervouse because ASN was painting an intense thunderstorm to the north, and it had already begun to rain. Lightning was flashing and it was getting a little rough.

When I arrived at Jaluit, well, this is what awaited me....

... now I figure the rise in the ocean levels had submerged the strip, and all that was left was the floating runway. No matter, I had to get down, which I did.

I then waded ashore and waited out the storm amid the trees.

Now, to go into ADE and move that field to higher, uh, more later ground.
