Does the boxed version (only just available) need the SP1C upgrade installing, or is it already included?

The boxed versions were not released until they were done with service packs. It should be current.  Peace of mind, the Operations Center has a feature that verifies versions for you.

This shop in France is selling the PMDG 777 boxed, unless of course it is a scam website.  I gambled my money, and there should be one in the mail for me soon, if the planets are aligned, and no butterflies flap their wings in China.    I'll update on how this works out.
