A319-100 / A321-200 Fuel Tank Info.

Recommended Posts

I downloaded a A319-100 and A321-200 and would like the fuel tanks to be loads correctly as in real life.

In the aircraft config section of each aircraft what are the numbers that should be listed so that i have the max possible fuel for each aircraft?

This is what i have right now.

A319-100

[fuel]
Center1=   1.95,   0.0, -4.00, 2179.6, 8.0

LeftMain=  2.35, -19.6,  1.40, 1829.6, 5.0   //3.45
RightMain= 2.35,  19.6,  1.40, 1829.6, 5.0   //3.45

LeftAux=  -5.50, -36.4,  2.20,  232.5, 5.0
RightAux= -5.50,  36.4,  2.20,  232.5, 5.0

A321-200

[fuel]
Center1=   4.15,   0.0, -4.00, 2166.0, 6.1
Center2=   4.15,   0.0, -4.00,  790.0, 4.5   //ACT 1
Center3=   4.15,   0.0, -4.00,  790.0, 4.5   //ACT 2

LeftMain=  0.10, -19.6,  1.40, 1815.0, 6.0   //3.45
RightMain= 0.10,  19.6,  1.40, 1815.0, 6.0   //3.45

LeftAux=  -7.00, -36.4,  2.20,  232.0, 0.0
RightAux= -7.00,  36.4,  2.20,  232.0, 0.0

This is what i have right now.

Both sets of numbers appear to be from Project Airbus aircraft files and are probably by the numbers according to Airbus specifications. The only other factor involving range would be how accurate the engine numbers are and how that relates to fuel usage (not your question I know).

The fourth number in each 'tank' defines the amount.

But the fuel goes so fast

You are quite right.

"The only other factor involving range would be how accurate the engine numbers are and how that relates to fuel usage."

What I wrote about 'by the numbers' does not always mean FS9 cooperates and uses those numbers as perfectly as the real aircraft does.

It is not so much the amount of fuel as modeled in the aircraft.cfg as it is the weight loads and how the engine performance is modeled. Correct or not.

If you are referring to the A319, That is pretty far off, depending on passenger and cargo weight, thrust and climb, cruise altitude, cruise speed and winds aloft.

The PA Airbus are max loaded with pax, cargo and fuel. You might want to reduce both of those a bit and see if that helps.

If you are referring to the A321, then that is different, it should have a little less range than the A319. But +/- 4x 900nm You can browse around the two links, especially the key data sections,

http://www.airbus.com/aircraftfamilies/passengeraircraft/a320family/a321/performance/

Here are the numbers I use and they are from older models. A319 first the the A321. It boils down to tweaking the numbers a little to boost power and at the same time lower the fuel consumption rate, which translates into greater range

[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type=1
fuel_flow_scalar=0.996  //CRZ SFC 1.086

Engine.1=6.500000,18.95,-5.125
min_throttle_limit=-0.25
max_contrail_temperature=-40

[TurbineEngineData]

afterburner_available=0

bypass_ratio=5.40    //4.90

[jet_engine]
