P3dv2.3, Buttkicker and VOXATC

Hello all-I use VOXATC and a buttkicker in P3dv2.3.  I'm having difficulty with the interaction of VOX and the buttkicker. When I use the lower pitched male voices they set the buttkicker off.  I then lower the frequency cut off in the buttkicker but the male voices still set it off.  I have the onboard Realtek sound.  Other than having all VOX female controllers and pilots (which is OK by me), does anyone know of a way to separate the lower pitched voices from the aircraft sounds?  I've heard that OPUS has an interface for it, but I really don't need all of OPUS' other features.

Get Opusfsx...full dynamic head movement , multi definable cameras, and one of the best weather generators out there...AND SPECFICALLY DESIGNED with buttkicker in mind...

 

The trick...A USB sound card and the rumbling sounds are fed to that channel ONLY...

One more question. I'm using analog headphones for sound. Will I have to get a USB set to make this work? The headphones are stereo

I use a 7.1 analog headset and buttkicker with opusfsx, no problem at all.

I don't use the usb sound card, but its recommended as mentioned by Chas to get the best experience.

 

But most likely you'll get those voices also on the usb, unless you can select a specific sound card for voxatc.

OpusFSX's Integrated butt kicker module looks for all sound sources, and since OpusFsx specifically outputs low-frequency for the bumps and moves and shakes, you can use this as a sound source which is totally separate from your headphones, to drive the butt kicker.

Totally right chas, in my case if using single sc, some low voices are catched by opusfsx, no matter if using module... might need to try the usb sound card too..

Ordered the SoundBlaster on the link and downloading OPUS.  Once set up, I'll let you know how it turns out--but I have no doubt it will work as advertised.  Thanks.

WARNING...

 

..., if you cohabit and your flight seat is modeled on a an office chair, The handle that allows you to pneumatically lower and raise the seat is going to rattle when afix the butt kicker to the main stem, and fire up your Sim.

 

Get a strong rubber band or a bungee cord to tie it back to keep the rattle to a minimum...or yer cohabit-or/tress...is going to holler on you,guaranteed… And that will definitely put several things down in the dirt...

Im thinking about getting one but its for a lazy boy style chair and from what i can see its a different set up but Im really confused abut the different models and whats best suited for a lounge chair.

 

Can anyone comment on this? its says designed for a single chair
