IFLY 747-400 V2 Released and available on flight1

Featured Replies

This is the second post that I have no idea what it means. Now I said only PMDG is realistic and no other developer? Now might be the time for you to walk away from the computer for a while.

I will ask again, can you give any examples? If not, then you are just making up claims that you can't back up, in other words, trolling and bashing other developers to promote the iFly.

Dude you can say I'm a troll all you want, I am no longer going to feed your argument. I am someone who likes both and until you go and try it for yourself you won't know how it is. So as far as I am concerned both devs have pros and cons. I agree with " ohsirus" this happens every time. I was answering someone's question and you jump on me because you didn't like what I said. So enjoy your PMDG and I will enjoy the iFly & PMDG.

Have a good day.

You pulled out a PMDG 777 vs iFly systems comparison, said iFly is more realistic, but admit you cannot give even one single example. This isn't about liking what you said, this is about making sure everyone who reads knows your agenda and that you are lying to promote the iFly. I think it's time for you to also walk away from the internet for a while.

Ok, I'll tell you examples, even though I said I was done talking to you but I thought I would tell you why I like it.

iFly has the following that has me liking it better.

1.) Much Smoother Frames (60 FS9 / 30 FSX)

2.) Window Reflection

3.) Night Lighting, Landing Lights

4.) Soundset (Sounds like the Real Thing)

5.) Flight Dynamics are smoother and much more fluid. Even someone here in the forms said he has flown a United Level-D Sim for the 747 and it fly's like the real thing.

6.) VNAV engages smoother

7.) Weight and Balance

8.) Real start system

9.) Thrust Reverse is accurate to the real thing.

10.) Fuel consumption is accurate

You know instead of bashing me and saying I am a troll, why don't you just try it man. Then if you don't like it Flight 1 and iFly are allowing 30 day money back no questions asked if you don't like it. Sounds like a win win to me.

Anyways I hope I was able to answer you questions but if not, I would be more willing to answer your questions if you didn't treat me like garbage and throw false accusations at me. I am not a troll or an iFly Dev or promoter. I am just a happy customer that was sharing his thoughts on a product is all. Am I allowed to do that??? My goodness.

I would be willing to talk to you if you can treat me with some respect and don't tell me to walk away from the internet. I don't appreciate that at all, this is all I can do day in and day out. I am permanently disabled due to service related injuries overseas when in the service so please do not tell me to leave the internet or hint at me leaving these forums, thank you.

Just as I thought, nothing at all that is better than the PMDG, but you still had to bash it to make your addon seem better.  I hope you have learned a lesson here. You don't need to bash someone or something to make yourself feel better about what you like.

I think it's time for you to also walk away from the internet for a while.

For what it is worth I 'd say that's rude and uncalled for, regardless of the topic.

I'm not the one bashing a developer and personally insulting their fans just because I was asked to give examples of "more realistic than the PMDG" claim. Did you reply to the wrong person? I asked him to back up his claim and all he did in response was attack and insult me. Sometimes I wonder about people on internet forums.

What part of "regardless of the topic" was hard to understand?

The part where 2 people are personally insulting and trolling me, but you only get mad when I reply that they should step away from the computer for a while? I think I am now seeing why people in the fs community end up having problems when they go to avsim.

iFly does have the Time Acceleration Mode built in where you can go upto 8x with the autopilot holding just fine, I have flown a 10 hour leg with it at 8x and no issues what so ever! Best addon in my 700Gb of FS addons! Here is a screen shot showing the "Intelligent Cruise" options.

It would be cool if they had incorporated all that info the FMC like PMDG does so you can change the options inside the aircraft in real time. Those external settings menus seem so dated now after PMDG started incorporating them into a separate menu in the FMC. I used to hate the old way PMDG and Level D did it where you would have to load that deal prior to starting a flight to set your options then exit it and go back into the sim to start the flight.

Does this have auto time acceleration as well like the T7 does where it will speed up then slow down compression to make a turn or if the winds are too severe to use time compression effectively it will automatically cut time compression down to a lower level or off completely?

I do agree, I do wish more Devs would use the FMC like PMDG does for all features. One plus is iFly did put a lot of settings in the FMC with the 747 where they did not in their 737. Like fuel and payload edits plus doors, ground connections and so much more.

Yes sir, it does. If you hit turbulence or anything or during turns if it is unstable it will slow down to 1x simulation to correct any discrepancies with your FMC or Autopilot. And then automatically kick back up to 8x when it's stable.

Now to set "Intelligence Cruise" mode you will need to set that in the Config Manager before flight, but once you set it that's it. You don't need to do it every time. Or you can speed it to 8x manually in FS if you would rather do that but it won't kick down to correct if you do manual mode, you would have to kick it down on your own.

Trust me the PMDG 747 will be much better when It comes out . That's why im not buying Ifly id rather wait another year or two

I'd assume so as well, not to say the iFly is a poor offering, but with the relationship PMDG has directly with Boeing and the access to about everything they need to simulate an airliner in a desk top sim, I'll hold off and wait for PMDG started well. However if PMDG didn't have a 747v2 in development I might jump on this with the 30 day refund policy in tack.

If money is tight, I say wait for PMDG. But if you can afford it, why not both? I did the same with the iFly 737NG and purchased the PMDG when it was released later on.  PMDG could be released anytime next year, if you are a 747 fan like I am, it will be tough to wait.
