Flight Deck Solutions High Capacity interface cards

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I've recently noticed the interface cards offered by flight deck solutions. What I'd like to do is buy some $3 switches from a local electronics shop, and wire them up to a card for use with FSX and PMDG. I have two cards in mind for this project:

This card, which only has inputs for switches: http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/components/interface-it/fds-sys2x-high-capacity-128input-card/

and,

This one, which also has LED outputs: http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/components/interface-it/fds-sys4x-high-capacity-64in-128out-card/

Now, if I bought the second example, would connected LEDs change in accordance to PMDG cockpit lights?

Would all of these aspects be possible?

My apologies for my limited knowledge, the interface side of things is new to me.

Thank you in advance for any replies!

I use a Sys-4, but I run Ifly. It's a very easy card to configure, I love it.

Vincent, is the card recognized by LINDA?

I've not used Linda, the card is able to read/write via FSUIPC so I believe PMDG has a list of offsets for use.

or you could get a goflight DIO board and use the goflight interface tool?

Thanks for that, Steve! I hadn't come across that board. I'm looking towards it now; they have a wide variety of switches, both with the board and on their website. Looks quite promising.
