Site that shows Intersections with Lat Lon

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to find a site that shows lat and lon to an intersection so I can fly updated routes in FSX.  Do any of you know of a site that will have this?  Thank you.

I use Hi/Lo altitude (USA) charts, FSBuild, Flight Sim Commander, Aivlasoft Electronic Flight Bag, Plan-G, FAA approach plates/SID/STAR and internet site Skyvector.com with maps.

Yeah, SkyVector (also shows the waypoint on the sectional, or Airnav for text info.

What aircraft are you using? AFAIK, the default FSX GPS has no means to enter specific lat/lon coordinates.

If you are using an add-on with an FMS, most likely it will be supported by Navigraph or Aerosoft with updated Nav data that will include the most current intersections and RNAV waypoints.

If you are using the CIVA INS add-on, it will, of course, fly to any lat/lon you enter. As others have mentioned, http://www.airnav.com will give you the lat/lon of any named waypoint - but it only covers US airspace, and a small segment of Canadian and Mexican airspace near the respective border regions.

I mean to enter the lat and lon in the FSX planner, then in notepad, rename the waypoints with the intersection names.  This will then load into the FSX GPS.  I don't mean directly in th GPS itself.

Your first post was :

"I'm trying to find a site that shows lat and lon to an intersection so I can fly updated routes in FSX. Do any of you know of a site that will have this?"

Your last post was:

Now, I have no idea what what you want.

Those two posts I wrote mean the same thing.  I fly with the default GPS.  Many new waypoints are not in FSX due to the due date of FSX in 2005.  So I'm trying to find a site that shows the intersections and VORs with the Lat and Lon so I can input that in FSX.  And then it will show in the default GPS.  Why is that confusing you?  I hope that clears what I meant.  Using the sites such as Airnav and skyvector said here, I should be good to go.

Hello ap1, not sure if this information is helpful as this is a while later, but I believe I found what you are looking for. Go to opennav.com, enter in your waypoint in the search bar, and wala! It gives you your latitude and longitude of the waypoints. Hope this helps.
