Well. Jim... I have given up. I am returning this back to the Manufacturer. I can not solve this issue. I tried just with no Add-ons installed at all. I will buy another Gaming Computer else where. I do know that I am getting some Glitches on my screen when flying and when I play Nascar 2014 I get a beeping sound, and on my Front Panel the VGA Icon is flashing. I think it is telling me something about my Video card. None the less I'm done. I want to thank everyone who has given me input on this matter. I wish I could of fixed it. I bought this computer for one reason only and it doesn't work. Merry Xmas to you all.. God Bless

That might be the best solution but I was looking at your crash report again and saw the following:

You have the UIAutomationcore.dll in your main fsx folder. Remove it. It could be conflicting with the system uiautomationcore.dll which also loaded.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 is not up to date - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667. You need 2005 with SP1 installed. This is required for FSX/Acceleration to run properly.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 did not even load. Make sure the latest version of 2008 is installed (same link as above) 2008 with SP1. This is required for several FSX addons to run properly.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (MSVCR100.dll) did not load (or at least I cannot see where it did). This is required for ASN and other modules to run properly. See link above for the latest update.

Microsoft.net 2.0 and 4.0 appear to be installed properly and up-to-date.

Hi Jim, Well I installed the 3 your recommended. Of the 3 only the 2005 for some reason was not installed. the 2008, 2010 was installed so I just did a repair. I'm thinking the 2005 may be the problem. I will try it later today  and let you know..

Thanks

Well Jim, I decided to try it and I didn't even get 5 min into it and if froze again. I am going to do a clean install with windows 7 and after everything is loaded including updates I will install FSX again and see how it goes. This is my last ditch effort..

Hi Jim, Well I installed everything and it still froze. I was looking at my older Lap Top and realized that the Microsoft 2005 C+++ has 2 different ones installed. The 2.38 MB package is not installed on this computer. Does this not get installed when u install FSX?   I downloaded the 2005 C+++ SP1 and it shows installed. When I reinstalled FSX on my Older Lap Top it shows it was installed. How do I get it? I think there lays the problem. I also was reading CTD manual and realized it shows 2012 C+++ installed an again its not on this computer. How do I update or get this?

None of the your FSX addons need Microsoft Visual 2012. Only the 2005, 2008, and 2010 versions (the 2010 version is required for ASN, PMDG products, and not sure about others). See pages 7 and 8 of the AVSIM CTD Guide for more info and the link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667).

FSX also requires Microsoft.net 2.0 and 3.5. Some later apps might require dotnet 4.0 or higher too. But FSX is an old application and it was developed with dotnet 1.1 and 2.0. Most addons require the 3.5 version. You can get more information on page 8 of the AVSIM CTD Guide.

Microsoft Visuals and Microsoft.net programs are not backward compatible. So, for instance, you have the latest version installed, it will give FSX and FSX addons problems running as the apps need the proper versions.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jim, I just wanted to give you an update on this issue with my New Desk Top Computer. I have exhausted everything I know of and read and researched on this particular problem. I just bought this DTC 10 days ago. I believe its a Hardware conflict some where in the BIOS or Drivers installation. I bought this DTC with no Operating system installed because I had 3 Windows 7 I bought awhile back. I wanted to use W7 because it never gave me any issues with my Lap top.. I had completely removed FSX and all its add-ons on my Lap top because I figured the new DTC  was all I needed. I was wrong. Anyway, I reinstalled everything back on my lap top and just completed a flight 3.3 hrs with no issues. I have since returned the computer back for a refund. Again, I appreciate all your info and insight on this matter. Oh one more thing.I also have the Evil Update installed on the LT also and still never had a problem.

Thanks for the info. I like Windows 7 too and never updated but the last time I reinstalled Windows 7, I recall I had to install well over 100 updates which is time-consuming for sure. I think this is what Microsoft does to force one to move to Windows 8 or 10, have a lot of updates and make it a miserable experience installing Windows. It would have been nice if they would have consolidated all or their updates into packages of maybe three or four.

As I stated in the AVSIM CTD Guide, new computers are prime candidates for driver updates as the systems are released but the software included with the computer is not updated. I built my current computer last year and installed a driver update program soon after the update. About everything needed an update, the Intel Chipset, SoundBlaster drivers, Intel Network Connections, Intel USB 3.0 Host Controller Drivers, Intel Management Engine Interface, Host Controller drivers for my Hard Disk drivers, and Intel Pro100/1000 Ethernet Controller drivers. I have also updated the BIOS several times for my ASUS board and my computer is only about a year old now. So, yes, when bugs are found in drivers, they are usually updated by manufacturers and released as soon as possible as their reputation sometime lies on the success of their hardware.

If you take a look at the section "Actions to Take to Prevent Crashes", I think it will go a long way in helping you prevent future crashes.

Thanks Jim, yes I do have a Update driver program and after it ran it I had only 4 updated drivers that needed it. Of the 4 of them, 2 of the drivers it wanted to update was older than the one installed. So basically only 2.  So Jim if I may ask, what is your configuration on your computer? If you are not having any problems I would like to use it or a Guide to as what I will get.

Respectfully that is impossible.

As I have indicated several times in several forums, my fsx configuration is the same as in the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide which also includes the proper settings for the NVidia display driver. No tweaks. Tweaks are bad. The only tweaks I use are: I changed the LOD_Radius from the default high of 4.5 to 6.5. I changed the Texture_Max_Load setting from the default of 1024 to 4096 but, if I have a problem with a flight, I might move that down to 2048. I am overclocked but just to 4.2GHz. The lower your settings, the better your fsx will be able to render textures and produce better graphics. The AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide is located to the right of this forum under Hot Spots.
