737NGX various commands?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Just a couple of questions regarding commands for the NGX:

1) Is it possible to start the clock timer? I haven't been able to find a command that does this?

2) Is it possible to have the FO select LNAV, I have been trying but it doesn't seem to be working?

3) Can you ask the FO to press TOGO?

Many Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

clock regarding the clock i and toga i always pressed myself.

But i think for toga you can try to say "takeoff thrust"

For L NAV just say "L NAV"

But i think that 1 is scripted in the "before start flow/procedure"

Just remember something. When you pressed L NAV do you get a fmc message? If so then you have not setup your mcp correctly!

Thanks John,

I tried "Takeoff thrust" but it just went full power.

And I got LNAV and VNAV working too, thanks for the advice.

I tried "Takeoff thrust" but it just went full power.

Try...

Set TOGA (thrust)

Select TOGA (thrust)

Set TOGA (power)

Select TOGA (power)

(thrust) or (power) are optional words.

Just be aware, with NGX, there are conditions that must be met before TOGA engages. Notably, autothrottle armed, both FDs on, etc...
