PMDG 777 + Cockpi Builders

Recommended Posts

Sorry Translate Text.

PMDG 777X bad for Cockpi builders.

No Key assignments. Example Level-D has a key Commands for all funktions.

This reaction is at PMDG only as a programmer possible.

Therfore, there is no 777 this time compatible Hardware.

Existing cockpit Hardware is not usable.

Just bad!

This is not at all true. Please read the Intro Manual that comes with the aircraft. Page 104 should address all of your concerns. I would recommend reading the rest, as well, as there is some very important information in there.

Hi,

If you go the Opencockpits route with PMDG 777X you can buid a very nice home cockpit.

See PMDG SDK lists of Events and Variables in the SDK doc..  All those can be connected to hardware.

In addition you have the key command as Kyle mentioned.

As there are a lack of ready P&P units like MCP, OVH etc. , the user must built his own panels.

PMDG have made more or less every function ready to be interfaced.

Manual Page 104 Nothing documented.

Where is the promised tutorial II

PMDG 777  - FMC - PMDG Setup - Options - Key Commands

not only sufficient for a. few functions.

I remember The good Level-D has for all funktions keyboardcommands.

Thats what I like.

My Goflight EFIS and MCPPro work perfectly with the 777 using Steves Goflight Interface Tool software. You can use other Goflight gear as well I believe:

http://www.pollypot-software.org.uk/

If you are looking to use a tablet as a CDU check out:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Virtual+Avionics&hl=en

also works flawlessly. Not only that I can easily switch between the PMDG 737 and 777

If you don't like those then you can always go the FSUIPC route as all the offsets are fully documented in the SDK that comes with the T7 but it takes quite a bit more willpower and time to do it this way....

I would say PMDG have provided all they need to so that you can interface to it , putting your simpit together and figuring it out is your job :)

Page 104 is where it begins all of the KEY COMMAND functions, which you mentioned later.

PMDG 777  - FMC - PMDG Setup - Options - Key Commands
not only sufficient for a. few functions.

Then use the SDK.

FSX Directory > PMDG > 777 > SDK

I'll let RSR speak to that more directly, but it's a lot further along than I'd bet most people would guess.
