That video has been discussed a great lot a few months ago and 95% of use agree that it is faked. 1) The nose gear could never hold up against all that force being placed upon it.2) The nose gear wouldnt bounce up and down as many times as it would.3) The nose gear, again, would have some more shock to it- it would absorb the touchdown, but the video it just slams and slams over again.4) Notice when the spoilers go up, the video gets blurry for a 1/2 second. Everything after this point is real. Everything before it, is not. 5) The original video had a few more seconds to it, where the "pilot" said something like "Attention coming in for a landing" ... nobody does that 6) ...Theres dozens of more reasons but I have many more things to do :)

It's not a model, unless the makers of the movie went to great lengths to make miniatures of airport buildings and glide path antennas etc. in the foreground and hangars and terminal buildings in the background.It is likely a real flight and a lousy landing, but sped up and jumped-forward a few frames at strategic locations to make the 'impacts' seem a lot worse than they are. The sound is also obviously dubbed over to grab even more attention for the beer commercial it was featured in.

If that is a real landing, I hope that the airlines fired him, and then shot him ;) I am wagering that the movie is about as fake as they come :)

It may have been some kind of training flight for a new pilot on that type rating, which may explain why it was being filmed. A lot of people thought that video of the MD-80 that hit the runway so hard that its tail broke off was also a fake, until it was revealed to be a test by the aircraft manufacturer.
